About Our Church

Full Gospel Churches of Kenya-Malindi Local Church Assembly is a Faith Based Organization (FBO) located in Malindi Town, Kilifi County in Kenya. We believe in accomplishing the great commission of Christ as stated in Matthew 28:11 and touching the world with the love of Christ.

To enable the organization achieve this core objective, certain problems must be addressed. These include capacity gaps (knowledge / education gaps, low membership), infrastructural challenges (some obsolete structures, inadequate facilities, poor access to water, limited access to basic sanitation facilities), land challenges (the church has a low acreage that it cannot expand nor have new structures, lack of land to put adequate classrooms for children, teens and the youth, inadequate capacity to fight pandemics), a weak financial base (limited church funds for mission and community work, general running of the church, payment of salaries, payment of utilities), and a low membership (creating a cycle of a weakened financial base).

Despite these challenges, the organization has an incredibly good opportunity to bring changes into the church and the general community. The organization has a wide catchment area that it can use to reach its members and members of the community with its mission and diakonia services to the poor and the marginalized – especially people living with disabilities, orphans, widows / widowers and addressing gender inequalities. It has a strong leadership team, unity among the members, an enthusiastic and vibrant congregation ready to serve others, goodwill from the local community and leaders, a strong belief system and capable professionals who are ready and willing to provide the technical expertise to transform communities. The organization is trustworthy and accountable to the members and other partners.

The organization has safely co-existed with members of other religious groups and people groups and is therefore likely to succeed in its future endeavors. It has created networks with the government, the National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK), Fida International, and other agencies. The organization plans to maintain its networks and establish partnerships in its implementation of activities.

As a result, the organization has put up this 7-Year Strategic Plan to enable it to plan, fundraise, and implement all the plans in the Strategic Plan. For the Strategic Plan to be achieved, the organization requires KES 42,000,000. The expected immediate outcomes of the various projects include a strengthened financial base, adequate land for growth, adequate structures, adequate knowledge/skills and education, increased membership, and increased involvement in reaching vulnerable people. This will result in a strong organization that nurtures strong families, empowered communities, and a reduced crime rate.

All these projects are expected to be sustainable since ownership will be strong, and the technical capacities of the work will be efficiently managed by the church professionals. The added value will be the multiplication of community change agents who shall reach more people, leading to transformation of communities.
